Section 48 Inspection

This is the Westminster Diocese inspection of the Catholic Life of our school and the teaching and learning in RE.

Diocesan Inspection Report

We are delighted to share with you the wonderful outcome of our recent Catholic Schools Inspectorate inspection. The inspection assessed nine key areas of Catholic education at St Teresa’s, and we are proud to announce that we achieved outstanding grades in four of these areas, with the overall quality of Catholic education graded as Good.

This inspection is a thorough evaluation of how well we live out our mission of “Growing and learning together, as part of God’s family, to be the best that we can be.” The inspectors recognised many strengths in our school community, including:

  • Outstanding Leadership of Religious Education: The leadership of our religious education is Outstanding. Our religious education curriculum is well-planned and engaging, with skilled teaching that supports pupils in developing knowledge and enthusiasm for their faith. Our leaders and governors demonstrate a clear vision and high expectations for religious education.
Exceptional Leadership in Collective Worship: Leaders and governors actively promote, monitor, and evaluate prayer and liturgy, ensuring these remain a vibrant and central part of school life.
  • Outstanding Collective Worship: Prayer and liturgy are at the heart of our school life. Pupils engage deeply in a variety of prayer experiences, demonstrating reverence and reflection. Our pupil-led groups, such as the Carmelites and Little Lites, inspire the whole school community in prayer and worship.
  • Strong Catholic Life and Mission: Our inclusive environment, inspired by St Teresa’s ‘little acts of kindness,’ fosters a genuine sense of belonging where every pupil feels valued and cared for. Pupils understand and live out Catholic Social Teaching through their learning and charitable activities.
